Industrial Mist Filter System: DM series
The DM-series is a complete duct module for in-line installation to new or existing duct systems carrying contaminated air. May also be installed upstream of existing mist collectors or filter systems to enhance their performance. Cabinet contains separators only, it does not include a fan. Fan must be supplied separately. Ideal for retrofit to existing exhaust systems, or mist collectors and filter systems containing fans. For small, medium and large air volumes. Custom–engineered sizes up to 60 000 cfm are available.
Contaminated air containing mists from coolant, oil or other liquids used in manufacturing processes and machining centres is conveyed by exhaust fan in the duct system or the existing filter system. This contaminated air passes through the DM-series retrofit duct module which separates it from the air stream allowing this clean air to enter the exhaust duct system or other filter system/mist collectors. Fluids that are separated from the air stream are collected for appropriate disposal or recovery and re-use in the process. The DM-series system can be mounted directly inline to existing duct systems or at a convenient location upstream of a mist collector or filter system.
The proprietary technology in the Oil Screen mist filter separates the mist droplets from the air stream through a vortex action. The filters are conveniently packaged into a metal frame, 2 inches thick for simple removal and cleaning. As the mist-laden air passes through the mist filter a vortex action in the air stream separates the mist droplets an efficiency of up to 95% on a single-stage. The clean air exits the separator while the separated liquids are drained downward into a reservoir for return to the process or disposal as desired. The filters are permanent, washable and re-usable. By cleaning the air so effectively, equipment downstream from the DM-series retrofit module, such as ducts, exhaust fans, or other filter units, requires significantly less maintenance and filter replacement. The resulting payback is often less than 1 year due to maintenance cost savings alone. Consider also the recovered expensive fluids which can be returned to the process and the payback period is reduced even further!
